WILD STRAWBERRIES

STUMBLING UPON

When I was a child, I had a world map on my bedroom wall. I often sat in front of it, imagining what life was like in different countries. Later, life took me far from home, and travel became part of who I am. And photography too became my way of seeing—stumbling upon (more than searching for) things that move me. Something that speaks, quietly or clearly, that I capture with the camera. It feels a bit like wandering through a forest, looking for the secret places where wild strawberries grow.

These photographs vary in subject, shape, and tone. What binds them is the intent: to evoke the beauty of what surrounds us every day.
